The mini bat is made of the same wood as real bats and is pretty hard. It is not hollow and has a handle that is 2 3/8 inches around. The knob is the exact same size as all their other mini bats. It is a collectible but lacking in weight for self-defence. One customer bought it as a safety device against loose dogs in their park. Another customer bought it as a gift for their aunt who is a huge Dodgers fan and has a collection of memorabilia. Most customers are happy with their purchase, and it seems to make a great gift.
